Pi Day

Pi Day celebrated on March 14th (3/14) at Irmak schools. Pi (Greek letter “Pi”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant  the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter  which is approximately 3.14159.
Students made cutie pi papers, prepared posters and exibited on the bulletin board.
Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math in schools. Students measured the diameter and circumference of  circular objects, divided the circumference by the diameter, and watched  in amazement as the number comes out to about 3.14 every single time.
