FAQ About the AP Programme

1. What knowledge and skills does the AP Programme measure?

The students who take AP lessons and become successful not only are more advantageous than the standart applicants in the process of application to universities but also get the chance of exemption from these lessons when they enter university. Also in the double major programmes they study easily.

2. What is the content of the exam?

The content of the AP exams is prepared by a committee which gathers AP teachers of high school and university professors. In every AP exam, there are two parts which consists of multiple choices and short answered questions or composition style questions. The exam duration and the number of questions differ from the selected subjects to other subjects. Multiple choice questions are assessed by computers, short answered questions and compositions are assessed by teachers.

3. When can I take the Exam?

The AP exams are taken only one time a year, in May. Although, it can be taken for more than one AP exam, there is also an opportunity to take the exam next year. In order to search for the academical calender, please visit Collegeboard AP web site. www.collegeboard.com

4. How is the AP exam assessed and when are the results announced?

The exam results are evaluated between marks 1 to 5.After taking 3 AP exams and getting the results minimum 3 over 5 acquire the reputation of AP Scholar. The results are sent to students and universities in July. The result reports are cumulative, in other words, shows every result of each AP exams.
